Con la novedad de diez películas nominadas este año,  arranca la carrera hacia los Oscars 2010 con la lista oficial de nominados. Destacan algunas agradables sorpresas como la -merecida- nominación a “District 9″ o  la nominación del corto español “La Dama y La Muerte”, de Javier Recio Gracia. “Avatar” y “The Hurt Locker” (En tierra hostil) empatan con 9 nominaciones cada una.
